Notley Abbey
This historic Buckinghamshire residence has a truly magical past – if its majestic medieval walls could talk they would tell of a millennium of the decadent celebrations of not only Hollywood royalty, but royalty itself. This beautiful country house wedding venue, alive with memories and history, is now uniquely available as an exclusive use wedding venue in which you can craft your perfect wedding day and create some lifelong memories of your own.
This beautiful wedding venue was acquired by Bijou Wedding Venues, specialists in the provision of exclusive use country house wedding venues near London and the planning and hosting of truly spectacular and unique wedding celebrations in those venues, in 2006 after several years of unfortunate neglect. The stunning wedding venue in Buckinghamshire, a listed building and registered national monument, was the subject of a long, sensitive and detailed refurbishment which had at its heart a passion for beautiful historic buildings, a love for the very best in modern simplicity and a burning desire to gently coax this historic home into the 21st century – returning it to its former glory while making it relevant, accessible and welcoming to as many couples and families as are lucky enough to cross its threshold and share in its history and romance by making it part of their own, unique, special day. This beautiful Buckinghamshire wedding venue, now returned to its former glory, is far too special to remain hidden. At the end of its long, beautiful, tree-lined driveway you will find truly spectacular grounds and a historical venue that is too impressive not to be shared. It is too perfect for hosting splendid parties not to do just that and it truly buzzes to life when full of celebration, merriment and joy.
