Rackleys Barn Wedding Photographer – Natural Wedding Photography at Rackleys
If you’re getting married at Rackleys and looking for a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer, you’ll already know what a fabulous place it is! I’m Vanessa, the photographer behind Crimson Sky Photography, and I’ve been shooting weddings for over 15 years, with more than 500 weddings photographed along the way. I have captured nuptials inall season and at all types of wedding venues. I’ve photographed many weddings at Rackleys, and it’s a venue I’m always absolutely LOVE coming back to. The barn has so much rustic character, while the surrounding Chiltern countryside gives you athe most fabulous backdrop
I’ve photographed several weddings at Rackleys, and it’s a venue I absolutely LOVE. One of my faves if i’m honest.. The barn heaps character and charm, while the surrounding Chiltern countryside gives you plenty of opportunities for beautiful photographs without having to spend hours away from your guests.
As a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer, I know how quickly the day can pass, so my aim is to capture what is actually happening and let the day flow. I work quietly in the background and step in and offer gentle guidance when needed.
Wedding photography at Rackleys
My style is natural, relaxed and documentary-led.
You won’t be expected to spend your wedding day posing for the camera. Instead, I’ll be keeping an eye on what’s happening around me and quietly documenting the candid as they happen.
There will be photographs of the important parts of the day, of course, but some of my favourite images are often the ones nobody planned.
A laugh during the wedding breakfast, a nervous glance before walking down the aisle, your friends enjoying themselves or a little moment between you and your parents can all become photographs you treasure.
That’s a big part of what I enjoy about being a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer.
You don’t need to know how to pose
If you’re worried that you’re not very good in front of a camera, honestly, don’t worry.
Most couples tell me exactly the same thing!

When some photographs need a little direction, I’ll guide you through them. It won’t be complicated, and you won’t be left wondering what you’re supposed to do.
For your couple photographs, we can have a little wander around the venue and surrounding grounds. A few minutes can be enough to create some lovely photographs while giving you a chance to take a breath together.

As a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer, I want those photographs to look like you, rather than two people trying very hard to be models.
Making the most of the Chiltern countryside
One of the things I particularly like about Rackleys is the combination of the barn and the countryside around it.
Depending on the season and the weather, completely different photographs can be created outside.
The light might be soft and warm in the evening, while an autumn wedding can bring completely different colours to the surrounding landscape.
Because I work in a documentary style, the surroundings are used naturally rather than turning your wedding into a photoshoot.
That’s something I always keep in mind as a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer.
True colour and timeless edits
Natural colour is really important to me.
I don’t use faddy presets or heavy filters that make every wedding look the same. Your flowers should look like the colours you chose, your dress should look like your dress, and the countryside should still look natural.

The photographs are edited carefully, but I don’t want the editing to be the first thing you notice.
I want you to notice the people, the expressions and everything that was happening.
That natural approach is a big part of my work as a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer.
Over 15 years and 500 weddings
I’ve been photographing weddings for more than 15 years, and over 500 weddings have been photographed during that time.
One thing I’ve definitely learnt is that weddings rarely run exactly to plan.
Speeches run over. Someone is late. The weather changes. The timings move around.
It happens!
There’s no need to worry if things don’t go exactly according to the schedule. I’ll work with what is happening and keep photographing the day.
That experience is particularly useful when you’re looking for a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer, because I already know the venue and can work around the way your day unfolds.
Your wedding shouldn’t look like everyone else’s

Every wedding at Rackleys is different.
Different couples, different families, different flowers, different weather and completely different personalities will all change the feel of the day.
I don’t want to produce the same set of photographs for every wedding.
Your photographs should remind you of your own wedding and the people who were there.
As a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer, I’ll be looking for those little things that make your day yours.
A little saving on your photography
If you’re planning a wedding at Rackleys, I currently have two offers available that could help with the photography budget.
20% off autumn/winter weddings of 5 hours or more.
There is also 15% off Monday–Friday weddings of 5 hours or more.

So, if you’re getting married during the week or have an autumn or winter date in mind, it’s worth asking me for a quote.
I’ll work out the price based on the amount of coverage you need, rather than trying to fit your wedding into something that doesn’t suit you.
Autumn and winter at Rackleys
I really like the atmosphere that autumn and winter weddings can have at Rackleys.
The barn feels cosy, while the countryside outside changes completely with the seasons.
Some of the most atmospheric photographs can be taken when the light starts to soften later in the day.
If you’re planning an autumn or winter wedding, the 20% discount for weddings of 5 hours or more is currently available.
For weekday couples, the 15% Monday–Friday discount applies to 5 hours or more.
As a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer, I’m always happy to talk through timings and work out what would suit your day.
What you can expect from me
I’ll keep things relaxed and straightforward.
You’ll get natural documentary-style photographs, true colours and a timeless finish, without spending the whole day being posed.
I’ll photograph the big moments, but just as much attention will be given to everything happening around them.
That might be your bridesmaids laughing in the morning, your dad watching you walk down the aisle or everyone letting loose once the music starts.
Those are the photographs that can bring the whole day back to you years later.
It’s why I love being a Rackleys Barn wedding photographer.
